Contract Hold

Hi.
After successful 2 jobs, I got a direct offer from a client who has been on Upwork for 10 years.
He suggested having a phone call so I told him we need to keep our conversation through Upwork before the contract.
The client told me to accept the offer and check his history. Upon checking I realized he’s a good client on Upwork who spent over 400k.
 
So I accepted the offer, After a few moments, He paused the contract with the reason of ‘Need more time’.
Do I need to wait for him or ask him to close the contract until he’s ready or just close on my end?
I’m afraid if this can be an issue on my Upwork account rating or JSS.
