Contract Suspended, Client MIA

Hello Upwork family!

 

I am in a conundrum. I started working on an hourly contract with a client who was quite responsive at the time. 

Then on April 12, 2019, Upwork put a hold on the contract. I have sent the client countless messages to check his account. However it's now April 29, 2019 and he has not answered my messages. 

He had indicated that he was traveling to China the week before the contract got put on hold. He is not a Chinese national, and my impression was that it would be a short trip (he's an events coordinator).

Now when I look on the contract, it's reading as "Suspended". Do I go ahead and end this contract? How will it affect my JSS?

Any advice, gentle, wonderful people? I appreciate it a lot! :-)

So you tracked time and were paid, right?

 

In that case, you can wait or close the contract, it doesn't matter and contracts from suspended clients are excluded from the JSS calculation anyway.
