Contract at a fixed price, but I do not see how much I earn.

Good day. I am asking you some attention.

I accepted the contract at a fixed price, but I don’t see how much I earn. The customer says that he made the payment for $ 1400 in Escrow. When will I see it? I thought I would see it when I accepted the contract, but this did not happen.

Screenshot in attachment.

Thanks in advance for the answer.

ACCEPTED SOLUTION

Hi Andrii,

This contract is activated under the Agency, and in order to check the information you are interested in, you'll need to be on your Agency account.

Please change from your Freelancer account to your Agency account in the upper right corner of your profile, and select the contract you're referring to and you'll see that Escrow is funded.

Thank you.

You can work it out easily enough.

(1400 x 90 %) - 50 = 1210

For fixed price contracts this is the process:

1) Your client funds the milestone you are expecting to begin work on.

2) Once you see the milestone is funded, you complete the work on that milestone

3) You submit your work using the green Submit button in your screen shot

4) Either a) your client releases the escrowed money within 14 days, b) your client does nothing and Upwork automatically releases the escrowed money on the 14th day after your submission or c) your client contests the quality or other facet of you submitted work and you have to make changes and re-submit your work, re-starting the 14-day time clock. (Don't re-submit the work just to remind your client to pay; that annoys some clients and re-starts Upwork's 14-day clock.)

5) Once the money is released from escrow, Upwork will wait about 3 (?) days and credit the amount paid minus Upwork's fees to your bank account

Thank you Will and Petra.

But the problem is that I know the price only from his words and nowhere do I see it in the system, although the active phase is already open. Can I trust him and know that he Escrowed on the account $ 1400, and not any other amount?
in the previous contract, I immediately saw how much the customer offered for the work.

Go to the actual contract and look at it there.

It should show what is in Escrow there, under "in Escrow."

My Jobs > All Contracts > Click on the actual Contract.

It'll look a bit like this

Also, double check the client has a verified payment method, because only then can anything that is funded ever be released to you.

Upwork would, however, have sent you an email if you had accepted a contract from a client who does not have a verified payment method.

Thank you, but in "My Jobs > All Contracts > Click on the actual Contract" there is no any Price in Budget, or in Escrow.
I think I understand what's the matter. I went to work diary and see that I can add manual time for tis contract. So this is not fixed-price, but hourly pay?
