Contract placed on hold

Hi everyone!

I got a notification recently that my contract with one of my clients was 'put on hold' .  It is an hourly job and the client has paid for the hours I've worked on last week.

My questions are:

1. Why was the contract placed on hold?

2. Will this client be able to resolve this issue?

3. Do I have to pause this contrac until the problem is resolved?

4. Will the hours paid by the client be reversed to their billing method?

Thanks.

1. Can be any one of many reasons. Upwork won't tell you, but most likely it has something to do with payment.

2. Hopefully, but this is between the client and Upwork

3. Yes. That is what Upwork tell you very clearly in the email you got.

4. The client may possibly not have paid at all, there is no way for you to find out. But if you tracked your hours with the Upwork app and stuck to all the rules (high activity and meaningful work memos) you are protected anyway.

Thank you for yoru response Petra. I appreciate.
