I worked for a client after I joined upwork in June, I submitted the milestone but the client didn't close the contract I didn't know the client was meant to close the contract,cos i just joined upwork it's still showing as in progress so I asked on the community someone said I am meant to tell him to close the contract so it can show as completed work. I sent the client a message yesterday but he hasn't responded is there any other way I can go about this? Someone should pls help. Thanks.

Hey. Three ways:
1. You keep contacting the Client and asking him to close the contract, until successful
2. You close the contract yourself
3. You leave the contract open

You might want to go back to the Academy ressources as the Overview you saw is not enough. You will learn about profile, contracts, etc...
