Copy of ID

Hi everyone! Is it normal that clients request a copy of ID? I am afraid of potential data abuse.

Not normal, you are correct to be suspicious. There are probably a few legitimate reasons a client would need identification info on file after hirign you but I cannot think what they are. I would never consider sharing my ID with a potential client.
