Create an Agency and add my daughter to my team

Hi there,

I'm currently an individual freelancer (Doing GREAT by the way!) and I want to add my daughter to my team.    She's not on Upwork and doesn't have a profile.

I know I need to set up an Agency.  But will I be able to add her if she's not on Upwork?

Thanks in advance for advice!

Amanda

ACCEPTED SOLUTION

Hi Amanda,

She will be able to work on jobs that have been awarded to the agency only, unless her profile has been accepted to Upwork's general marketplace.

Hi Amanda,

Any user that you want to add to your agency will need an Upwork account. To add members to your agency
Click the account menu, choose Settings, then Members & Permissions.
Click the Invite a ' New User button', fill in the form, including choosing roles and permissions. Fill in the form and click the Invite User button. The person will receive a notification to join your team and can accept or decline your invitation. Thank you Nina,

Will she need to go through the Upwork profile approval process?   She is pretty entry level and I'll be controlling her assignments.

Nina,

That's perfect.  She's just getting started and I want to have control over her assignments.

Thanks so much for you help!

Also, this may or may not be relevant, but your daughter must be 18 to have an account on Upwork.

Hi Jennifer,

Good point!    She's 22   Smiley Happy    Which makes me (eh-hem)  a bit older.  Man Wink
