Hi everyone. I am a front-end developer and part time designer of YouTube thumbnails. Some time ago(Jan 2024) I did my first job on thumbnail creation. The client liked everything, I got paid but he didn't close the deal. I forgot about that order. Then I did not fulfill the order for a while, but came back to it in September. I wrote 26 cover letters where 10 of them were looked at and 3 were written to me. And of those 3, one was a pacifier and wanted a free job. He was blocked by upwork. No one ever hired me.
My profile is 100% complete, I have a portfolio that shows my skills in my work. But I also have the same job hanging since January, which I closed due to inattention only in September. Do you think it can repel potential customers? Is it possible to add a comment that the customer forgot to close it? Or is it better to just hide this work? It has no feedback. I have already spent enough money to buy additional connects, and all without result.
I just don't understand why customers don't even write, even though they respond to my cover letters, it's very discouraging.
