Dealing with dissatisfied clients

I know of a fellow UpWorker that has recently landed their second client but is now met with a difficult situation. The first Milestone was completed and paid for, but a day or 2 later the client suddenly decided that they were no longer happy with any of the work done and they are demanding a full refund. The work was satisfactory, hence the paid milestone.

 

My theory is that they have received the work and now they would like to get their money back and essentially get the work done for free.

 

How would you advise this new UpWorker? They don't want this to affect their profile, and are happy to give a full refund, how should they proceed? (I personally think that they should not give a refund but they don't want to get a bad reputation being so new to the platform.)

 

Any constructive advice would be appreciated.
