Hi guys!
What do you do when you’ve recently been hired by someone at a pressure job for unsure duration and someone else wants to hire you at a relatively lesser pressure job for a more stable duration and 25% higher pay?

Freelancers are allowed to end a contract at any time. Doing so violates no Upwork rules.

 

Quitting a project with little or zero advance notice may be seen as problematic by the client however.

 

Remember that a client has the opportunity to leave feedback when a contract is closed.

 

Are you allowed to work on more than one contract at a time?

Yes.

 

If there are two high pressure jobs, can you work on both of them simultaneously?
Maybe that would not have a good outcome.

 

If you are working one project, and you would prefer to stop doing so and work on another project... can you remove yourself from the current project while helping the client achieve his goals? Such as by helping the other team members take over your tasks, or by helping the client find a replacement, or by finishing the task you were hired to do?

Depends entirely on your personal preferences. Do you like to work under pressure or less so? Do you like more money or less?

I don't understand. Why wouldn't you work for both? Freelancers should work for more than one client at a time. That's what freelancing is all about. You should never work full-time for just one client as a freelancer. They call those people employees and they should get benefits.
