Display name issue

Hello,I am writing to inquire about my profile. I have set the settings in my profile to display for full name "ie: John Smith", instead its only showing John S. how can this be rectified? Thanks in advance.

I would like to clarify that this is by design. Last names will be shown only to clients whom you`re communicating with. If you have any additional questions, let me know. Thank you.
