Dispute non-release of a milestone payment

Hello, I would like to report an incident.

Indeed, one of my clients did not respect his contract by not paying the exact amount of my payment, after I had completed and submitted my work.

There is nothing to dispute, and the client released the money in Escrow already.

The second milestone wasn't funded, so it can't be disputed.

You shouldn't do 2 milestones worth of work when only one is funded.

You can politely ask the client to pay, but other than that, there is nothing that can be done.

So I got scammed, then?

You managed your contract and your client poorly.

You may leave accurate feedback to the client, but no, there is nothing anyone can do.

I have already written to the client, who is no longer responding to my messages. Should I assume that I have been scammed then? And that you cannot do anything to help me?

Yes, you are allowed to assume that you have been scammed.

But this experience has great value to you, because you will never again work on an unfunded milestone.

I wish to signal this client. Thanks

Close the contract and leave accurate feedback to warn other freelancers. Then move on.

Thank you so much for your assistance
