Hi Upwork!
I'm receiving invitations from Talent Agents - some of it are not interesting, don't fit my skills, or anything... I understand that agents are sending it basing on searches and trying to find best match, and I don't complain that they sometimes miss...
My question is - do I have to reply to this invitation if I'm not interested? If time of response counts to avarage time of response for invitation (top-rated program)? If client knows abou this invitations?
I'm asking because if I decline client could be supprised I decline invitation he didn't sent...
Could someone write more about this?
Thanks
Andy

Hi Andrzej,
Yes you shoukld respond to the invitation you have received and treat it as any other regular invite sent directly by clients. You can decline if you like and can also include the reasons for declining, which the client will see on their end.Regarding your second concern, yes on both accounts.
If you would like to share any feedback about our Talent Specialist or you have received an invitation where your skills were not a great match, please send me a PM with more details and I will send the feedback to our team. Thank you!

You don't have to, but yes, it affects your responsiveness score if you don't.

You can just click "Decline", cand choose the option: "Not a fit for my skill" or whatever you want.
Don't reply will decrease your respond rate on your profile, not a big thing, though.

What makes you say that it is "not a big thing?"

That it's small compared to other things?

I do wish Upwork wouldn't call them "specialists" - perhaps "scouts" or "spotters" would be better terms, but specialists they are not!!

Nichola...thousand (and more) kudos to that! "Specialist" my old granny's left...kneecap!

To the OP...I opted out of receiving any invites from those so-called specialists ages ago...life has been much simpler since than.

@Goran - there is no such need - I'm receiving few invitations a month, some are better matched, some are worst, but it is not a problem for me.
I was just wondering if client knows about it, or it's more like "look - there's job for you - apply"
Thanks All for replays 🙂
