Do contracts on upwork have a limit of 200 milestones?

Does a contract have a maximum number of milestones that can get created in it? Like, after reaching that limit the contract has to be closed and a different one opened?

I recently had a client have to open a new contract after 100 milestones, so I guess that's the limit.

You are correct, the maximum number of Milestones created on a contract is 200, after which a new contract needs to be created in order to facilitate additional Milestones. 

Thanks for following up on this question and sharing your experience, Jamie. I can confirm the limit has been changed a few months ago, I imagine soon after the original 100 Milestone limit you reached on your contract.
