Do terms for joining changed recently?

Hello.
I guess the approval process of the new members is no more in use?
I just created my profile and and 'waiting for approval, submitted for review' text appeared.
Now at my homepage it says 'Congrats, you're now part of Upwork! Tips to get started'

I can propose to bids. I guess I do not have to wait for the approval mail in this case?

Our process for new members hasn't been changed and new freelancers still need to wait for the results of the review. I can confirm that your profile was reviewed and accepted. Thank you.
