Do you ignore payment unverified?

Its really a matter of enterting a credit card number vs. not. Any thoughts on this?

Extremely mixed feelings.

I took a chance on an unverified post this week because the job description was well written, and seemed serious (plus it was like 2 connects to send a proposal.)

I immediately got a reply, talked to the client, they verified payment promptly, and we're now working together.  Most of the time though unverified is a no-go for me, just because it's a warning sign that they're probably not serious.  If a job really is a perfect fit, the pay seems realistic (not unrealistically low or stupid scam high), and the connects to apply are dirt cheap, I'll give it a shot.
