Does work stop the day before, or the due date of a milestone, if paid for weekly work?

If you get paid via weekly milestones doing customer service from a set time every day (i.e. 8a - 5p) and milestone ends day today, Aug. 26th — Are you supposed to work that day to finish out the milestone, or was it finished the prior day?

I'd suggest having that discussion with your client so the expectations are clear on both sides.
