Domain purchase scam - Scammer asked me to buy a premium domain

I just placed a bid on a project to create a website similar to some website that client provided. I got a reply immediatlly and client sent an offer right away. He explained me about the work and asked me to purchase the domain(premimuim domain) myself. 

He said he doesn't have time to purchase a domain. Thought he can  send the amount as bonus on upwork. I refused to buy the domain as I was already aware about this scam, where scammer send you amount as bonus and once you purchase domain they cancel the contract and take the amount back as  refund. Stating that freelancer haven't done any work which is technically true because he wouldn't ask you to start the work until you purchase the domain. I declined the offer immediately and reported the scammer.

In my case it was very easy to identify ithis scam. I was lucky I didn't accepted this offer cause this type of scammer not only takes your money fwhen you buy their domain but also gives you bad review private and public both and can affect you JSS badly.

I had a same situation where client asked me to buy a domain. He even awarded the project to 4 freelancers and am not sure if they are newbies.

Unfortunately, I never got my connects back even after reporting the client.
