Double invites?

As of a few days ago, I started getting two emails and messages for every job invite.  One comes in as a new message; the other comes in as an invite.  The one with the message doesn't include links to the job so it's pretty much useless and confusing.

I noticed that I can reply to messages without accepting the invite.  I wonder if this will affect my response time rating?

Anyone else notice this?

Hi Daniel and Olga,

Thank you for reporting. We have checked with the team and they figured out why this is happening. Unfortunately, the fix for this problem will only be released early new year.

Thanks Valeria!

I noticed it also. I was pretty shocked when I checked my email this morning to find 20 new emails, half of them from responses to Community threads that I've commented on, and the other half from 5 invitations that I received during the night. Kind of annoying that we're getting duplicates, but good to know that they're planning a fix for this soon.

Valeria, if we respond to the invitations that show up in our message center without accepting or denying the invitations, how will this affect our responsiveness score? I've got one invitation pending because I've responded to the invitation via the message center, but I don't want to accept or deny the offer before finding out a little more information first.

Hi Dawn,

I would recommend replying to an invite either by accepting it or by declining it within 24 hours to make sure your Responsiveness score doesn't get affected. You can discuss the job with the client at the interview stage and find out more about it.

Thanks, Valeria. I'll do that.

Oops! I replied to an invite with a question, and then they withdrew the invite before I had a chance to decline the proposal. All happened within 24 hours but I'm still showing "You replied to 21 of 22 invitations to apply in the past 90 days:"

I was going to give them time to reply to the question because it seemed like the invite was a mistake.  JSS will defeat me even though I've only had one client who said they wouldn't reccommend me for a very small project with tons of scope creep.  Once my score hits 60%, I'm done with Upwork.

Daniel, Responsiveness Score is not a part of JSS. Basically, the Job Success Score counts active and ended jobs and doesn't include what happens before the offer is accepted.

Hi Daniel and others,

This issue should be fixed now and rooms shouldn't be created for all invites. If you are still expereincing the problem, please let us know.

Thank you for your patience.
