I'm an Italian freelancer, and I need to make invoices complying with the Italian tax system. Do I also send them to the client? They would receive two invoices, which seems unnecessary.

Hi Robin,

you have contact your local tax office to find out if the invoices created by Upwork are suffice as a receipt.
