Enable client to change feedback...

Hi everyone!

I've got one question for you:  A couple of months ago I did short translation work, my client was happy with the result but did not manage to leave feedback on my profile at that time.  She then disappeared until now that she has sent me a message saying that she would still like to leave feedback but it is maybe too late for it.

I  have used the option "enable client to change feedback" in this case but, considering that there is no previous feedback to be modified, I do not know if it is the correct way to allow my client to still leave feedback to me.

Could you bring more light to this situation, please?

Thank you!!!

The client can just go to the contract and click on the tab called "feedback"

There will be a link called "Edit feedback" which is where your client will be able to leave feedback.

Hi Angela,

If you enable your client to change the feedback, they should have no problems with that. Once you enable them, they'll have 14 days to make any changes, either positive, negative, or neutral in outcome. The window for making changes stays open the full 14 days and your client can make multiple changes during this period. Please note that changes can only be made to public feedback. Private feedback remains on file, and cannot be edited.

Thank you.

Yes, it is the right way to allow your client to still leave feedback. As there is nothing to make changes to, the function allows the client to leave feedback but only for 14 days.

There is no feedback, that is the entire point here.

There is no private feedback, the client wasn't the one who closed the contract, so no private feedback. If there was feedback, she wouldn't need to find the right way to allow the client to leave feedback...

Thank you  Petra en Alexander for your prompt response.

So what are the steps my client would have to follow to leave feedback now that I have already enabled a change?

Once again, thank you very much!!

Hi, I recently worked with a client and our contract ended in the middle of the work and the client left bad feedback. I provided the client with the required work and refund and then enabled the client to change the feedback. The client has changed his feedback but new feedback has not been updated on Upwork.

Please help!

Hi Yahya,

Thank you for your message. Once you allow your client to change their feedback on a contract, your client will have 14 days to make any changes, either positive, negative, or neutral. The window for making changes stays open for the full 14 days, and your client can make multiple changes during this period.

Can you please share with us the Contract ID for the job you're referring to? I'll be more than willing to check on that and assist you accordingly. Looking forward to your response.
