Ending contract for project doesn't require feedback?

For regular contracts, whoever ends it is required to leave feedback, so I usually ask my client to end it. I've been burned before with clients that don't leave feedback if I end it.

I just completed my first project and my client ended the contract, but didn't leave me feedback. Why would they make the project process different than any other contract? Has this happened with anyone else?

Hi Amanda, there hasn't been any change. Whether it is the freelancer or the client, the entity that ends the contract is not required to leave public feedback, but private feedback is required.
