English language: fluent, native, ...

I am not aware of such a feature but I would welcome it. I've worked with too many freelancers who claimed to be fluent in a language when they were absolutely not. The oDesk translation tests are useless because they're riddled with errors.

It's so frustrating!

I can't take the DUOLINGO test to get verified, because it asks for $20 (see screengrab attached), please can some of the people who did it for free check for me if it says the same to them? I am logged in and everything...

Thinking about OTHER threads...

...Such as those posted by newbie freelancers who are struggling to get their first jobs and who write posts with broken English which clearly doesn't match the claims they make on their profile pages...

...One of my pet peeves is freelancers who seem to think that the English language proficiency designations "Fluent" and "Native or Bilingual" mean "I have English language characters on my keyboard."
