It totally depends on the client Kat. There are some clients both regular & enterprise who are very eager and quick to respond and then there are others who are slow pacers. This is especially true for Enterprise clients since they generally have a big project whose scope is quiet large. So before hiring, they spend some time in interviewing a freelancer. They actually want to ensure that you are a PERFECT FIT for their job.
Obviously, this thing is more commonly seen when you have a new Client. If you have already worked with a Client, they know all about you and then its very rare that they spend time. You are actually on work straightaway. Just wait for a while and hands up that you will get this job
