Hi guys,
I exceeded 10k with a client I am working for fulltime, but unfortunatelly the Upwork fee is not 5%. It did drom a bit, I think it's 8%, but it's not 5%. That's pretty weird 🙂
Does anyone know why is that and how that can be fixed?
Thank you kindly,
Chris

Maybe it's because a 10% fee was applied to part of the money that you earned during a week, while a 5% fee was applied to the part that exceeds $10,000.

Hi Chris,
Can you please pm me the contract and client details, so I can take a look? Also, is it possible that you were hired by the same client from two different accounts?

Hi guys,
Thanks for the answers, yeah I'm sure Hiu is right 🙂 Great sense of observation btw.
Thanks a lot,
Chris

Hi Chris,
I believe Hiu is right, if your most recent payment straddled the 10k threshold, a blended fee would be applied on it, since 10% would be applied on the amount up to 10k and 5% on the remaining amount. Please check again and let us know if this is the case.
