Feedback/Review not showing up on my profile?

Hi! My feedback and review that was given to me by my first customer is not showing up on my profile which severly hinders my chances on landing a next project as I imagine feedback is very important. Any help please?

Hi Deep, 

Thank you for reaching out to us. I checked and it looks like your client did not leave feedback on your contract. The system is double-blind, which means that feedback won’t be visible until both parties provide it for each other. If only one party leaves feedback, it will be posted after the 14-day period has expired.

You have an option to allow your client to change the feedback on your contract. If your client wants to change their feedback on your contract you can enable them to do so by following these steps: 

• Go to My Jobs › All Contracts
• Check the Include closed contracts box and
• Click the title of the contract to get to the details page
• Go to Feedback and click the Enable client to change feedback link

Can you help me determine why a client's review and feedback are not showing up on my profile. I completed the task about 3 weeks ago and the payment had been made long ago.

What could have hindered the feedback from showing up?

I checked your profile and it is reflecting the most recent information regarding your work history and feedback. Please clear your cache and cookies and try using a different browser. If the issue shows on your end after this please the contract ID and we will assist you accordingly.

I have same problem. I got my very first feedback and it is not showing on my profile.

It is really frustrating when you work really hard on a project and then the good feedback can not be indexed on your profile instantly. Upwork needs to improve their system as they take 20% commission which is really very high and in return they give such a slow service. Its annoying.

Hi Gill,

You can relax as this is by design. Since this is an Hourly job that started and was completed on Monday, it will show up in your Work History and the number of hours worked will be updated once the payment has been processed for it, in line with the the weekly billing cycle.

Upwork feedback system is double blind, which means you won't be able to see client's feedback before you leave your feedback to the client or 14 days after the contract is closed. Please, go to your My Jobs page to leave your feedback on a recently closed contract.

Note that profiles are updated on a daily basis and your recently completed contract and feedback you received will be displayed on your profile once it updates automatically. Congrats on completing your first job on Upwork!

Why would this be? The ratings should not (in my opinion) be tied to payment being processed. When the client accepts that the job is completed successfully is when the rating for that job should be posted, not a week later when we get paid...

Contract was ended on Dec 27. It is now Jan 2 and still no review/rating.

I've manually generated your profile which should now show the most recent information.

Normally profiles update automatically and regularly to make sure the most current information is displayed. However, delays with updating are possible and we can always help you with it by updating it manually for you.

We also have a team of engineers working on improving the system so that there are fewer delays.

You have to give feedback to your clients too. Only when both parties give
feedback each other, the reviews will appear. So make sure you and your

 Feedback is only displayed for jobs where money changed hands. If the client hasn't been billed yet, the feedback isn't displayed.

Hi Abdul,

Usually it takes up to 12 hours for the profile to update and feedback to show. I refreshed your profile manually and now your feedback is showing.

Also, you may need to update your profile with a different picture. Your profile picture has to be an actual photo of you and can't be a logo.

Hi Arif,

In order for feedback to show, there has to be at least $1 paid on the contract. It looks like all the contracts that meet that criteria are now showing on your profile.
