Feedback about client

Hello,

I want to know is it mandatory to give feedback about the client when a job is closed? If the freelancer does not give any feedback about the client can the client do the same? Is, ‘giving feedback’ a mutual thing or separate from each party (freelancer vs client)?

Another freelancer told me, whether the freelancer gives feedback or not about the client 14 days later  Up work automatically is going to show the client’s feedback (comment) and rating on the freelancer’s profile and if the freelancer didn’t give any it would say ‘NO FEEDBACK GIVEN’ (from the freelancer).

So I want to know if a freelancer does not give any feedback/rating to a client can

• the client still give feedback? and
• 14 days later up work going to show that on the freelancer’s profile?

Please help me understand the real scenario.

If the client gives feedback and has paid any money on the contract, the feedback will show on the freelancer's profile.

If the freelancer does not provide any feedback to the client, it takes 14 days for the feedback to show on their profile.

It is encouraged that both freelancers and clients leave honest feedback for each other.
