Feedback on active contract

Upwork added this new feature of letting you request a feedback every 30 days for long running contracts, however at same time it says it won't affect JSS, I am curious what's the purpose then?

1. Does that mean it's only for your info how client rates you and won't show on your profile until contract ends?

2. Irrespective 1 is true or not, does getting a feedback after 30 days lock it for your profile? Meaning if you get 5 star every 30 days for a quarter and then end contract on 100th day, can client still change your whole 100 day feedback to x start? Or will he/she be only rating you for last 10 days?

1. No real purpose at all. It shows on the contract, but under the "in progress" tab which nobody looks at.

2. The mid-contract feedback is meaningless and doesn't count towards your metrics. So when the contract is closed, the feedback you get is the feedback for the whole contract, as far as the metrics are concerned.
