in my quest to understand clearly how Upwork feedback system works, i am wondering about people not leaving feedback, does that affect my job success score?

Freelancers do know Upworks algorithm.

Ok team Upwork, since you deleted my answer, you could at least have kept the link that I provided for Pascal or at least have give him the right answer.

If you get enough clients who do not leave feedback this could have a detrimental effect on your JSS.

I don't know why Upwork should be so insistent on this, because the visible feedback often bears no relation to the invisible feedback. So your profile could be a galaxy of stars, but behind the scenes you may have been dumped into a black hole, which will crush your JSS.

Ok, then I think so would have been a better answer than no. 

The official answer is: yes. A pattern of contracts that end without feedback can reduce your score.
