Fees higher than what it should be

Hi,

I just got paid from a client and I noticed Upwork fees were 12% instead of 10%. Your terms however specify that above 500 $ your fees is only 10%. Coul you explain to me why it did not apply to my account ?

Best regards

Hi Carneiro,

Could you please send the Contract ID you're referring to so I could check? Please keep in mind that 12% is not a Service Fee number that is ever charged. If you recently surpassed the $500 amount with your client on a single payment, only the portion above $500 will be charged at 10%. The rest that is still below $500 is charged at 20%. I can also see there are VAT charges on your Transaction History, please keep in mind these are separate from the Service Fee structure.

Hi,

Thank you for your quick response. The contract ID is 28856225. I've surpassed the 500 $ with this client before this milestone. I should have received 63 $ but I only received 61,60 $.

Best regards

VAT?
