Finally I applied for Expert-Vetted!

As you guys know upwork now promoting expert vetted program to apply which is open for a limited time. So I was thinking should I apply for this or not. After making some changes on my profile and considering some of the points like:

• I'm a top rated 
• I have 100% JSS
• I have Upwork skill certification for Editorial Design category 
• Organized portfolio section on Upwork profile as well as personal portfolio website 
• Worked with high profile clients like: Senior director of the commonwealth secretariat and secretary general candidate of the commonwealth 2024.

Finally I just applied for the expert vetted program today morning. Not sure what's gonna happen but hoping for the best for sure. I believe on myself and my quality of work which making me excited to get a positive response from upwork in next 4 Weeks.

Upwork got another $50. It is good for their bussiness. 😺

Yeah they got another 50. My profile is my dream and passion so I don't think this is a huge amount of money considering the quality of profile standings.

You are right: must invest to receive profit. Lets hope that it won't be another useless badge available for any bot who will pay $50.

this is not an easy task. Your profile lacks EV program experience and is filled with template-based portfolios. As a result, you did not pass the screening and interview process. This is only suitable for upwork pockets.

You dont understand economics do you, esp how the value of an item in rare supply will drop if that once-valuable item sees a suddenly ginourmous supply. 

Your badge will do 'nothing' to set you apart from millions of others who have that badge -- and now you know why you are getting the responses you are!  i.e. you're not special here - b/c we all got the invite.  i.e. its not about freelancers, its about UW revenue.  Do you get it now?

Not gonna lie but I have been here constantly ever since upwork started changing stuff and bringing new features to the platform.. I have read freelancers (who have been working since 2016 and have earned Expert-Vetted) rants about losing jobs and losing invitations because of some stupid not needed features and have decided to work full time somewhere else.. so when i got a notification about apply for expert-vetted, i was tempted to spend my 300 connects but recalling the long thread made me stop and i didn't.

But now i see you, you're the first one who posted this saying you applied. So good luck!!

i hope things will work out for you as you planned. Keep us posted.

I really appreciate it man. These accomplishments are little bursts of joy as at the end of the day, the platform is providing you something.

this is not a limited time. wait few month. they will open again for applications and take all the money ..

now Upwork using this badge  for  making money.

Why?  Its totally worthless, clients dont understand and dont care about it. Stop giving upwork more money.
