I finished some work on Monday and submitted it but the client hasn't responded since, any chance that he could have taken the work and ran? Or is it normal for clients to have long turn around? It's just because I was sick in bed while I was completing the work but busted my butt to finish because it was a simple task so I presumed that he wanted a quick turn-around (I could have taken my rest instead).

Yikes, sorry, newbie alert, what do you mean? I submitted through the messages board with the client because it was too big a file to upload on the submit work/request payment form. So I completed it saying work submitted through message board and submitted the request.
That's fine too but to start the 14-day countdown, make sure you go to the milestone in your My Jobs page and click the submit button and then just say that it was submitted using the message center. That starts the countdown.

If there is no escrow, then consider it a hard lesson.
That is if it's escrow and not hourly. Hourly you'll get paid after the review period.
what do you mean by "If there is no escrow"? can you please explain?
You should not start the work until you see the funds in escrow.
Need a little help here.
My client is unresponsive.
Now I believe it is a verified Escrow account.
It also says it's a funded project.
I have submitted my work and created the required milestone.
What else can I do?
Grateful for any advice!
