Hi everyone. I did a fixed-price job with a person. I finished it and he paid me. The work was a lot, the deadlines impossible, but as I had accepted the proposal because I was new to Upwork I did it without saying anything. Now that I have finished the job, he added milestones asking me for a lot of things, for very little money and he wants them by Monday. I don't want to accept it, and it seems to me that I am not in the obligation since they are not the terms we agreed at the beginning. How can I refuse him without this affecting my reputation? I have been very careful and put up with things I don't think I deserve so as not to ruin my reputation, I don't want to ruin it now because of this. Please help me

You just have to explain, as politely as possible, that you'll need adequate payment and reasonable deadlines if you continue to work for this client. You can tell him that you only finished the last job because you had contracted to do so, but the payment and conditions were very unsatisfactory. You don't want to risk bad feedback on your profile, but nor can you let a client blackmail you into doing underpaid work with the threat of damaging your reputation.

A few key points to remember:

YOU are the freelancer. YOU set your rates. It is not acceptable for a client to assign tasks and state how much he will pay for those tasks. EVEN IF THE Upwork user interface allows. that, it isn't okay to do that. The client may ASK you to do a task, and you may then AGREE or DISAGREE to do that task. And the client may ASK you how much you will charge for that task.

You need to make these things clear to any client who hires you. Any experienced, knowledgeable client will already know that this is how things are supposed to work.

Also:
Keep in mind that you provide unique services with professional quality service. This client needs you a lot more than you need him.

Tell this client that you were able to complete the original project but now you are too busy to complete any more work for him at this time.  If he says he doesn't see anything in progress in your profile (none of his business but be prepared) explain you have clients on and off Upwork. The end. 

I wouldn't work for this person any longer,  hopefully you'll end up with good feedback.
