You Can't Sara. It will automatically be achieved while you are done with a project. You don't need to worry about that.

Absolute nonsense!
Sara, to edit your portfolio you need to go to your specialized profile. It would make sense for you to add a specialized illustration profile, so you can have one portfolio for your translation work, and one for your illustration work as well as your general one.
You can edit your portfolio (or add new items) ONLY in your specialized profiles, not the general one, but what you alter in the specialized ones will also get edited in the general one.

Sagar, I think that Sara is talking about the actual portfolio section of her profile, not the Work history and feedback section that I believe you might be referencing.

Posted a job for a cartoonist or illustrator today. While conducting a search for freelancers, I see SO MANY results where there is not a single portfolio image. What I am supposed to do with that?
I understand if a data entry specialist or email technician or somebody like this has not taken the time to post a portfolio. Maybe they find that their key words and profile overview text is sufficient.
But if I'm searching for graphic artists such as cartoonists, I simply have to skip freelancers without any portfolio pieces posted.
It would be better if Upwork automatically prevented zero-portfolio graphic arts freelancers from showing up in searches, and warned such freelancers that this is what will happen.

it would be even better if upwork allowed us to add artwork to our portfolio without creating specialized profiles
