Freelancer Suggestion - Searchable Files

Hello just leaving a suggestion here. It would be really nice to add a search functionality when searching files through Upwork Messages. Currently when you click on files you can sort by date. For a web developer like me who sends many files on a daily basis it would be awesome if I could search the files based on name.

I understand why you might see such a feature as helpful.

I do not think this is going to happen, however.

Upwork's mission is to help connect paying clients to freelancers who are able to work on their behalf. Upwork tries to be the industry leader in accomplishing this task.

Upwork is NOT a file transfer service or tool. In fact, for many freelancers and clients, using the Upwork messages tool is completely impossible for various reasons. It is NOT a reliable tool for serious file transferwork.

It is even more true that Upwork is not a file management service or system, or a search utility.

Your clients would be well served if you used tools that are intended for these purposes, rather than relying on Upwork for these functions in an any way.
