Freelancer search results

Hi everybody,

when I search freelancers to see how well my profile ranks on particular search terms, does it matter that I am the one looking, so that Upwork ranks my own profile higher, or does it show the results exaclty the way it would to any potential client?

I *personally* do not think it is necessary to know this.  It feels on the fringe of “peer sabotage” to me.  This means promoting ourselves by degrading other freelancers who might bid against us.

i think there it is far too easy for anyone to set up one or many client/hire account(s).  I am convinced at least one freelancer is posting jobs in their own field to distract, frustrate or annoy freelancers who might bid against them,

To solve this Upwork should require the type of ID for client/hire accounts that I have to give for a freelancer account.

The profiles in the searches are regularly rotated.
