So I believe I have been on upwork for about two weeks or maybe more not sure.  During that time I have bidded on different projects.  I am just a bit curious how long was it before you got  your first gig and what did you do to get the gig or what did you do to increase your odds of getting the gig.  Do not attach a link, I want personal experience.

Well, to be honest, I never applied to many jobs when I joined upwork even tho we had free connects back than but I only applied to those jobs that I believe I could execute it flawlessly and once I found the job i was looking for I shared my input with client and how we can proceed. 

My only focus was getting a JOB and a good review. That's all. I never increased or decreased the offer as that was secondary for me. 

I got my first job on my fourth attempt. Took me 4 months tho. I looked for a client searching for a good work for lower raters with 100% hire rate and payment verified.  

Once you know how its done, you willl enjoy it alot more 😉
