Hi, my name is Muhammad Yousaf Zafar. I live in Pakistan and I want to work on upwork as a writer/editor.

I have a problem.

When I made my bank account a few months ago, my name was too long for the bank to register, so they set the title of my bank account name to 'Muhammad Yosaf Zafar', omitting the 'u' in 'yousaf', as the computer accepted it.

When I filled these details (as they are) on 'get paid' section of upwork, it showed the following:

"Bank verification in progress
Due to our updated identity policy, at least one of your payment methods has been deactivated as the beneficiary name of the bank account does not match your name.
Please visit our FAQ page for additional information".

What should I do now? Please help me in this issue. I am eagerly waiting for help. Thank you.

I have requested to change my upwork account name to my bank account name. Hopefully, it will be resolved within 48 hours (as they mentioned).
