Gettng late invitations to interview

Hey,

Whenever i recieve any interview invitation, most of the times i reply with proposal within 10-15 minutes. But all the time i see 10-15 already applied and interviewed in project details

My question is am i receiving invitations late or there is something which i am not able to understand?

The client might have sent out invitations weeks after he posted the job.

Client invites them firstly and after interviewing them client decides to need to invite more, so you are invited. Does it make sense?
