Ghostwriting contract question

I'm new to this and a contract I have for a ghostwriting job includes the line "The Author is
irrevocably designated by Ghostwriter as Ghostwriter’s attorney-in-fact to do all such
things and execute all such documents as may be reasonably necessary to effectuate
the foregoing." I was a little concerned about declaring a client as my attorney, even if it is only in regards to the work I'm doing for them. Is that a normal clause in a ghostwriting contract?

No way to answer that without knowing what "the foregoing" consists of.

Anything to do with the work created for the contract.
