Is there information that you should be careful not to give out to clients and on your resume? Such as where you live, or work or anything?

Not 100% sure what you mean by "resumé."
Don't send clients a resumé.
Your Upwork profile is your resumé.
Don't send them something separate.
You probably already knew that.
So, the basic answer to your question is:
Clients don't really need any information beyond what is found within your Upwork profile.
If you trust a client then you can share contact information, such as an email address, phone number, Skype ID.
But it is not necessary to do so. Some contractors share that kind of info. Some don't. It's your choice.
But don't share contact info on your profile page itself, and don't send it right away to people you meet. Lots of contractors only provide actual contact info (email address, Skype, phone #) AFTER a contract is officially in place, listed on their "My Jobs" page, meaning they have been hired.
Some contractors provide a means of communicating with them (e.g Skype ID) as a way of conducting an interview BEFORE being hired. That's okay.
But most info that is not found on your Upwork profile, you should NEVER provide to any client. Clients don't need your personal address, your bank info, your social security number, etc.
