I was responding to an invitation today and got the pop-up saying I didn't have enough connects to proceed and would need to purchase connects. I just did it since it was only a few bucks and I didn't want the proposal to vanish and have to start over, but I wasn't expecting to need connects to submit a response to an invitation, and I didn't....the system made me buy them before I proceeded, but then didn't charge me.

Hi Tiffany,
Connects are still not required to reply to an invite, there haven't been any changes to that rule. Unfortunately I cannot check or try and replicate the issue since that specific invite has already been accepted. I also checked but don't see any other reports of the same issue from other freelancers. If you see the same notification when accepting an invite again, could you please let us know here so we could rest it for a specific case?
