Hello -
Is there a way to add anchor text to a link when sending messages to clients through UpWork? When trying to do it via HTML (i.e. <a href="">), it's not working.
For example, in this community forum there is a nice text editor which allows me to add anchor text to a link. For example, I can type Click Here and it will go to Example.com. I'd prefer this as opposed to having to paste the URL directly in the message.
Also, is there any kind of updated HTML markup cheat sheet for UpWork? I found this one, but it's from 2017.

re: "Please see the example I gave in my original post (i.e. "Click Here"). I want to be able to have a clickable anchor text link that shows up as opposed to URL."
I am pretty sure that it is not possible to do that in the Upwork Messages tool.

Peter:
You may use any communication tool that you want to in order to communicate with clients.
If the Upwork Messages tool does not meet your needs, simply use something else.
Upwork places no restrictions on what tools you use to talk to clients who have hired you.

Thanks for the quick reply, Preston. I realize I can communicate other ways, but what if the client wants to only communicate through UpWork? Is there a way to create links with anchor text to go to a URL?

It is automatically done.
Just paste a plain text url into the messages text area. Or type one. And Upwork makes it into a clickable link automatically.

Hi Preston -
Please see the example I gave in my original post (i.e. "Click Here"). I want to be able to have a clickable anchor text link that shows up as opposed to URL.
