Solved: Has Upwork shadow banned me ?

I am active on upwork from past 14 months, have earned $ 20k+ with two big succesfull projects and a 5 star feedback, I see very small profiles earning badges but i didnt received any, i seldom get invitations.

What can be the reason behind this?

In order to get the top rated badge, first you need a JSS (job success score), and in order to get that, you need to complete at least four contracts. You've got two successful ongoing contracts, but you haven't actually completed them - interim feedback doesn't count, unfortunately.

As for why you don't have a Rising Talent badge, that's trickier to explain - it seems pretty random and unfair, IMO. I've seen people with bad or made-up profiles who have the badge, and others who've done good work for clients but don't qualify, for some reason.

Anyway, lots of freelancers say that it made no difference at all when they got the badges (I've got all the badges, and I get hardly any invitations), and you seem to be doing very well without one, so I wouldn't worry about it if I were you. Just keep doing good work. Money is more important than badges.

Not at all - you landed two big projects; most people with Rising Talent badges would be happy to trade places with you. I would advise turning off your "Available Now" badge, however - it doesn't do you any good unless you're already getting a lot of invitations, and only costs you connects for no reason.

One question: If i end a contract, will the interim feedback be converted to final feedback ?

Hi Prateek,

Mid-contract feedback does not factor into your Job Success Score. That said, if the contract is ended without the final feedback, you will continue to see the Mid contract feedback on your Upwork profile but it will not be included in your JSS calculation.
