Have I been scammed?

I applied for a job post suddenly it responded asking for my skype ID. Someone chatted me in skype denying he got my skype ID from the employer. Some other guys joined the message in the message of the employer here in upwork they have identical names with the guy who chatted me in skype. I can feel that they just get my personal informations. The employer closed the job post immediately. Did someone experienced this too?
