Hello! It's been almost a month (around 28 days) since I heard from the client I'm working for. He set up a second milestone after paying me for the first half of the work and said he would get the next round of work to me asap. What should I do? Does it hurt me to leave the contract open without completing the current milestone?
Thanks!

Hi Ashley,
It will only hurt your Job Success Score if it becomes a pattern of idle contracts. I would suggest that you continue communicating with your client and wait for a few more days before deciding to close the contract. I'm guessing the recent holidays are the reason why your client is not responding to you. 🙂

From what I recall, fixed-price contacts need to have activity at least every 90 days.

I recommend sending a message to your client that says something like this:
(Client Name),
This is a friendly reminder we still have a contract with an active milestone, and I need direction from you in order to proceed. When you're able, please provide the details necessary for me to be able to complete the work associated with the second milestone.
Thank you. I look forward to hearing from you,
(Your Name)
