Today I found my JSS got extremely low suddenly. I remember I closed a contract a week ago. I think I got bad private and unfair feedback from this client.
Regarding this client and this project,
a. I worked with one of his team members and completed this project well.
b. A 3rd person came out and commanded me to send her an Email too when I finished the 1 milestone (No proof, that team member told me to do so verbally) I was confused but followed her instructions.
After we set up the 2nd milestone, this new person tried to push me for extra jobs not written in the contract. I refused. When the 2nd milestone came to closing, she tried to leverage new milestones to force me to accept her new tasks. Not that directly, but implicitly in Emails. I sent an official Email again to claim my standpoint and asked if she needed to alter the contract, she needed to negotiate on Upwork officially and transparently.
c. The person I made a contract with kept disappearing all the time.
When the 1st milestone ended, I had to remind him several times on Upwork and by Email. I had to inform the team member I was working with to stop sending new tasks until I made a new milestone with them (It was a daily checked project). Then he appeared and responded to my Email and set up a new milestone with a wrong deadline date that would force me to work for him for 5 days for free. He apologized and told me there was no way to correct it when I pointed it out, and he promised he would close the 2nd milestone on the right date.
But, again he disappeared and there was no response no matter how many times I sent Emails or left messages on Upwork(It was a daily checked project, they needed to check my task every day before sending a new one). I reached out to the team member I was working with, No response either.
I tried to reach out to his other colleagues and someone sent me an Email and said he would help me reach out to him.
The next day, he appeared and told me it was wrong to reach out to his other colleagues and that he needed to close the contract. I told him it was ok and we could talk on Upwork anytime regarding this project if he had any questions.
Now I got my JSS extremely low. I was a top-rated freelancer before doing this project. I think it is unfair to me and I have never gotten such feedback before.
A 3rd person from his side tried to pressure me and I obeyed Upwork's rules to remind that person that we needed to do it on Upwork if she needed to alter the contract. The 3rd person ignored my Email and no further response regarding my confusion.
He kept disappearing during this project and delayed my payments since the 1st milestone.
And I got a low JSS at last! I do not know how to fix it.
Could you professionals please help me solve this issue? (I have all the proof and Email trail)
Sorry for the long text, it is my first time working with this type of client. I am feeling so exhausted now.
