Hourly Rate Pending Transactions

Hi All, I'm quite new with accepting odesk hourly rates. So I would like to ask this question.

On an hourly rate after finishing the task with my client, I viewed the pending transactions page and it's empty even though I already rendered hours of service. Is this normal? Supposing the client doesn't end the contract, will I be able to receive payment?
