Hi,
My client is new on upwork, he cancelled our hourly contract because he changed his idea and wanted to start a fixed price contract instead of hourly, so I didn't start to work and he cancelled, will it affect my JSS since I didn't even start to work? It doesn't appear on my profile.

If you had accepted the job then YES it will affect your JSS. Next time you should ask for a nominal fee or don't be so quick to accept a contract.
