I have an hourly contract but for it I hardly use the tracker as I need to do maximum work on the mobile device, so I have to use manual billing.
Now, I have heard about the weekly retainer thing.
So, can I or my client can switch the contract to weekly retainer?

No, contracts can't be switched, and weekly retainers are not available at the moment anyway. What is available is a weekly salary, paid in addition to any hours you actually log or track,
You do realize that manual time (as well as weekly retainers or salaries) is completely unprotected, right?
